Peaceful venue with amazing location near to the lake and the town alike and good restaurants, bars and independent shops and perfect breakfast. Really nice building and rooms with old fashioned decoration.

We appreciated the convenience of the double room, as well as iron/ironing board, coffee/tea making facilities, and a work desk etc. Location: the hotel was just next door to communal areas, main shopping area and the excellent Theatre by the Lake.

We had a delightful 2-day stay for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. The traditional room had a fantastic view of Cat Bells and Derwentwater. The breakfasts were fantastic with locally sourced produce. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is outstanding, minutes away from Lake Derwentwater and the town center. The free parking was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay.
